The Post reported Monday that two members
of Seminole Boosters Inc. are unhappy with the direction of the
football program and believe Bowden should retire, one asking FSU
President T.K. Wetherell to make the move.
Wetherell, contacted late Monday, said no moves will be made during
the season and all coaches are evaluated after the season by Athletic
Director Dave Hart before those evaluations are turned over to the
president.
"Right now all loyal Seminoles fans ought to be out there supporting
the team and we'll deal with it at the appropriate time," Wetherell
said. "We don't fire deans in the middle of the semester and we don't
give out grades to the students in the middle of the semester."
Wetherell was asked if he supports Bowden. "Absolutely, I support him," he said.
So, too, did those who attended Bowden's weekly luncheon Monday,
giving the coach his usual standing ovation as he arrived. Bowden was
asked questions about the team, not his future. Bowden even made a joke
about his security.
When a fan told Bowden that a broadcaster said a game like
Saturday's loss to Boston College does three things to a coach, Bowden
did not let him finish before answering: "Gets him fired. What are the
other two?" Read More Here
